Things To Do
For such a quiet part of the world, there’s loads going on: The RSPB’s Minsmere Bird Reserve is only a couple of miles away. Click here for recent sightings. A highlight is Iken Canoe on the beautiful upper reaches of the river Alde near Snape. There are miles of interesting walks straight out of the front door. Just check out the Ordnance Survey map (takes a moment to load properly). Snape Maltings concert hall - home of the world famous Aldeburgh festival - is under 15 minutes drive. Aldeburgh and Southwold have popular beaches and trendy shops with plenty to see and do. Just as close, Framlingham and Orford both have cracking castles and loads of history. Sutton Hoo, the National Ttust's ‘Awe inspiring Anglo-Saxon royal burial site’, as seen the film 'The Dig', is only 30 minutes drive away! |
